The City of Kauniainen owns the Villa Frosterus area. The area is intended as a recreation and outdoor area for the residents of Kauniainen. The architect Sigurd Frosterus (1876-1956) had Villa Frosterus built as his summer place in 1913. Sigurd Frosterus also designed the Stockmann department store, built in 1916, as well as the president's official residence in Tamminiemi. Today Villa Frosterus offers a beautiful setting in which to spend a meeting day or a celebration. The villa is available only during the summer season. The sauna is located right by the seashore and is well suited to a group of about 20 people.
